2.3 Million Gaza Residents Without Access to Medical Care Due to Loss of Communications

Due to loss of communications, 2.3 million local residents of Gaza lack access to medical care. This was reported by representatives of the Palestinian Red Crescent (a humanitarian organization part of the international Red Cross movement).

“About 2.3 million Gazans were left without access to emergency medical care. The reason was the lack of communication in part of the territory,” said representatives of the humanitarian organization on the social network.

The Palestine Red Crescent Society was founded in 1968. The organization is part of the Red Cross. It provides medical facilities and emergency services in the West Bank and Gaza Strip.

Earlier it became known that women in Gaza forced to give birth on the streets among the rubble or in medical centers where sanitary conditions are deteriorating. This situation has arisen due to the closure of 14 hospitals and 45 primary health care centers. On average, 180 women give birth per day in Gaza.
