Thiruvananthapuram – Lulu Group Chairman and Chief Executive Officer MA Yousafali said the five-star Hyatt Regency hotel will be inaugurated tomorrow by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. Opposition leader VD Satheesan, Union Minister V. Muralidharan, state ministers, MPs and others will attend. The ultra-modern Hyatt Regency is the third hotel launched in Kerala by the Lulu Group and the international hotel chain Hyatt Hotels Corporation. Previously the hotel was opened in Kochi and Thrissur. Thiruvananthapuram is the 15th Hyatt Regency in the country.
The Hyatt Regency is situated on 2.2 acres of Vashuthakkad in the heart of the capital. 600 crore investment. The hotel has eight floors including underground parking. The Great Hall at the Hyatt Regency will become one of the largest convention centers in the city. The Great Hall can accommodate 1000 people. Adjacent to the pool, the 10,500-square-foot Great Hall features premium interior design and expansive space.
There is a tall escalator and glass elevator that takes you to the Great Hall. Along with the Great Hall, the hotel has 20,000 square feet of dynamic event space spread across three venues, the Royal Ballroom and the Crystal, accommodating up to 700 guests at a time. The hotel is designed to host a variety of events large and small, including weddings and corporate conferences, in both indoor and outdoor settings.
One of the main attractions of the Hyatt Regency is the largest presidential suite with state-of-the-art facilities. The Presidential Suite is 1650 square feet. The design of the suite offers a panoramic view of the city. In addition to this, the hotel has 132 rooms including Diplomatic Suites, six Regency Suites and 37 Club Rooms. There are five restaurants: Malabar Cafe, Oriental Kitchen, Ivory Club, All Things Baked and Regency Lounge offering a variety of dining experiences.
