The young woman, Madelyn Allen, had been wanted for five days. On Saturday, the redeeming answer came for her family and friends: she was found alive in a cellar in the home of Brent Brown, 39, in Loa, a small town in the state of Utah with only a few hundred inhabitants.

Allen, a college student, was naked, tied up and covered in coal when she was found, US media reported. Brown (39) is suspected of rape and kidnapping, among other things. The two had contacted each other through a chat room. The man is said to have collected Allen from her dorm room and then locked her at home while he was still going to work. He also took her phone and wallet. If she fled, Brown would “go after her family.” The teen’s roommates rang the bell when she failed to return to campus.
However, the police managed to determine the location of the device and thus arrived at the suspect’s home – an hour and a half from where she was last seen. Officers knocked on the door; Brown opened the door and lied that no one else was there. After her discovery, the girl was immediately taken to the hospital for a check-up.
