An 18-year-old drowned in the afternoon at Lake Mahndorf in Bremen. Eyewitnesses reported that a man had gone under in the water, the fire department said. Rescue workers then searched the lake. Divers then found the lifeless young man at the bottom of the lake. Attempts at resuscitation on land were unsuccessful. The police took over the investigation.
