Morocco counted 1,609 new cases of coronavirus infection on Friday, bringing the toll to 49,247 confirmed cases, announced the Ministry of Health.
The number of deaths from the new coronavirus stands at 817, while that of people declared cured rose to 34,199, a ministry official said in his daily press statement.
In addition, the total number of cases excluded after negative results of analyzes carried out in the laboratory amounted to 1,665,336, the same source indicates.
The ministry invites citizens to wear protective masks, to respect the rules of hygiene and health security as well as the preventive measures taken by the Moroccan authorities by showing responsibility and patriotism. End
