13 People Trapped in a Falling Elevator in Jakarta, All Rescued Safely

As many as 13 people were trapped in the elevator Pakuwon Tower, Tebet, South Jakarta (Jaksel), which fell. All of them were rescued by the fire team.

“It’s safe, (the evacuation process) has been completed. It’s (elevator open), yes, already out (elevator), earlier from the team rescue said 13 people, all safe,” said the officer call center Tebet Firefighters, Wisnu, when contacted, Monday (8/5/2023), at 22.28 WIB.

Wisnu said the health team was also involved. The reason is that some of the victims experienced shortness of breath.



“Some of them were short of breath, some were hot, but thank God the health team was assisted by using respirators so they were healthy again,” he said.

Previously it was reported, as many as 1 fire truck with 4 firefighters personnel were deployed to Pakuwon Tower after receiving reports that the elevator had fallen. There are a number of people who were reported trapped in it.
