The use of violence among young people is increasing, says boss of the Public Prosecution Service Gerrit van der Burg: ,,Young people have more knives, and it can be assumed that there is a connection between the growing number of young people with knives or firearms and violence. Especially in puberty, the following applies: if you have a knife with you, you are also more likely to use it.”
