As authorized by Executive Order 2020-41, RVI Shopping Centers will reopen to the public this Monday, June 1, 2020.
The company has a reopening plan with preventive and disinfection measures for its 12 shopping centers in Puerto Rico.
She owns shopping centers in the continental United States and Puerto Rico managed by Site Centers Corp.
The portfolio in Puerto Rico has 12 shopping centers. These are: Plaza del Sol, Plaza Río Hondo, Plaza del Norte, Plaza Palma Real, Plaza Escorial, Plaza Fajardo, Plaza Cayey, Plaza Isabela, Plaza del Atlántico, Señorial Plaza, Plaza Walmart and Plaza Vega Baja. The RVI Shopping Centers in Puerto Rico offer more than 700 stores in 12 locations conveniently located around the Island.

“The reopening plan in our 12 shopping centers includes: mandatory use of masks for all people entering the shopping center, limit of people entering shopping centers, distance, and hand sanitizer stations. Also, at night we will carry out deep cleaning of the common areas, sanitary services and food court. In addition, we increase the
frequency of cleaning at contact points such as entrance doors, elevators, and escalators, among others, ”confirmed Francis X. González, vice president of property management for Puerto Rico.
The reopening plan includes adjustments in different areas of the shopping centers, such as:
- Removal of seats in the aisles
- Reduction of tables and chairs in food courts and signage at strategic points in shopping malls, reminding customers of preventive measures.
“Exercising good judgment and following the recommendations of the CDC (Centers for Disease Control & Prevention) and the World Health Organization is the essential antidote to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and safeguard the life and well-being of our employees, visitors and tenants ”, concluded González. The RVI Shopping Centers will operate during this phase from Monday to Saturday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
