11teamsports expands to Benelux – sazsport.de

The team sports specialist 11teamsports wants to further expand its market position in Europe. With the takeover of the omni-channel soccer specialist 100% Football, the company is now represented in the Netherlands, Belgium and, in the future, also in Luxembourg.

Eleven Teamsports GmbH, with more than 2.5 million customers according to its own information the largest online shop for soccer and team sports in the German-speaking region, has taken over the Dutch soccer specialist 100% Football to expand its sales network. The omni-channel company is now integrated into the 11teamsports group as 11teamsports BV.

In the future, the 11teamsports online platform will also have its own national shops for the Benelux countries. With the three new national markets, the Swabian company is now represented in a total of 14 European countries. In line with the dealer’s Digi-Real strategy, stationary retail should also play an important role alongside e-commerce. The existing 100% Football stores are to receive a 11teamsports rebranding in the coming months. The shops in Apeldoorn (NL) and Liège (B) already have the new name on the facade.

In order to establish 11teamsports in the new market, the management is also being expanded. Walter van den Belt, the founder of 100% Football, becomes the new General Manager of 11teamsports in Benelux. With André Vasterman and Martin Huizer, two other long-standing retail experts will come on board. Huizer held various positions at Nike for over 21 years and previously at Footlocker for over seven years. Vasterman also comes from Nike, where he held management positions for over 26 years. “This is an important milestone for us. We have been working towards this partnership for a long time and are very happy that we can now implement the move to Benelux. We are pleased that we are also supporting André Vasterman and Martin Huizer for the Management support ”, says Dennis Schröder, General Manager of Eleven Teamsports GmbH.

Our 100% football experience, market understanding and an already existing strong network in combination with the operational excellence and professionalism of 11teamsports result in the ideal basis to be able to serve customers and clubs in Benelux at the highest level “, adds Walter van the belt. He founded 100% Football in 2006, which at its peak consisted of 25 franchise branches. There are currently nine stores left: eight in the Netherlands and one in Belgium. The other franchisees switched to Voetbalshop.nl last year.

Eleven Teamsports GmbH was founded in 2007 by Oliver Schwerin in Crailsheim and is headquartered in Satteldorf, Baden-Württemberg. The company is the official license partner of the German Football Association (DFB) for Name & Numbering and is responsible for global sales and the production of back finishes for the jerseys of the German national team. The dealer is also an outfitter for over 5,000 amateur clubs. On May 21st, the company announced its new partnership with SC Freiburg. In its supplier function, 11teamsports takes on the complete implementation and control on site and, as the official finishing partner, is responsible for the complete name and numbering. As part of the partnership, the match, training and leisure outfits for all teams in the club are obtained from the global sporting goods manufacturer Nike.

The focus of the new podcast is “the passion and fun of football, regardless of whether you are a professional player from the Bundesliga or an active club member in the local regional league”.
