Jakarta

The number of doctors who died as a result COVID-19 continues to increase every day. As of September 17, the Mitigation Team of the Indonesian Doctors Association (IDI) recorded 117 doctors had died due to exposure to COVID-19.

The head of the PB IDI Mitigation Team, Dr. Adib Khumaidi, SpOT, highlighted the sharp increase in doctor deaths in Indonesia due to one of the causes of the fact that the public is still negligent in implementing the health protocol that the government calls for. He emphasized that the community must be at the forefront of tackling the outbreak COVID-19, not medical personnel.

Indonesia has not even reached the peak of the pandemic’s first wave of this pandemic due to the massive indiscipline of health protocols. If this continues, Indonesia will become the epicenter of COVID-19 in the world which will have an even worse impact on the economy and health of our country,” said Dr. Adib. release received by detikcom, Friday (18/9/2020).
