A fire is raging in a building on the Karnemelkstraat in Breda. According to firefighter Richard, who extinguished the fire, started the fire in a meter box of the bicycle shop. Because there was little oxygen, large black clouds of smoke were released. There is a student house above the bicycle shop. When the fire brigade arrived, students were still inside. No one was injured. The fire was brought under control around 10 a.m. The fire brigade is still working to put out the fire.
According to the Safety Region, there is smoke damage in the student house. The Salvage Foundation is present to see how the damage can be repaired. It is not clear when the residents will be allowed to return to their homes.
