The data of the State Commission on Commodity Exchanges and Markets show BGN 4 average wholesale price per liter of oil. This is the price of yesterday, but the data are published with today’s date.

“Actually, the price of wheat has increased by about 120 leva per ton, which 20 leva can be imagined as flour, are nothing,” said Ivaylo Nestorov, manager of Zarneni Hrani in Haskovo. The peak in the price on Wednesday was BGN 4.69, and this Thursday BGN 4.14, which, according to the commission, shows calm in the market.

There is also tension in the flour trade, but the Commission explains that there is no reason for drastic differences.

In the mill in Haskovo, the most popular flour – type 500, has risen in price by BGN 20 per ton in two weeks. Her manager tells her that wheat is getting more expensive because of the war. The prices of electricity and fuels also have an impact.

The State Commission on Commodity Exchanges and Markets says that there are enough quantities and there should be no drastic rise in prices.

People should not succumb to fears and overstock, because this encourages traders to “play” incorrectly with prices, calls on the chairman of the commission Vladimir Ivanov.

“Fish is caught in murky water, this is an old Bulgarian proverb. We see it in practice. Without imposing this type of abrupt change, many people raise prices in bad faith, create preconditions,” Ivanov said.

More than 200 inspections have already been carried out in grocery stores in Bulgaria. The Consumer Protection Commission has found drastic differences in the prices at which oil is delivered and sold.

“There is oil that was delivered to the store at 2.97 and is sold on the shelves of the store for 5.99. The difference is 3 levs and 2 stotinki, ie 100% above the price delivered to the store, not the manufacturer. , what is this, if it is not speculation “, commented the Minister of Economy and Industry Cornelia Ninova.
