10 years have passed since the disappearance of the creator of bitcoin Satoshi Nakamoto

On December 12, 2010, the creator of Bitcoin, known by the pseudonym Satoshi Nakamoto, left his last entry on the BitcoinTalk forum. Since then, he never appeared on the network again.

Nakamoto’s last post was devoted to the problem of DoS attacks on the bitcoin network:

“There is still a lot to do with respect to DoS, but before plunging into more complex issues and in case it is required, I do a quick build … this is version 0.3.19,” the creator of the first cryptocurrency wrote then.

Satoshi noted that earlier he, together with Gavin Andresen, made it clear that Bitcoin software cannot be considered resistant to DoS attacks.

“This is one of the improvements, but the methods of attack [на сеть] still much more than I can count, ”added Satoshi Nakamoto, describing the technical details of the upgrade further.

Moving away from the project, Satoshi Nakamoto transferred the project management to Gavin Andresen, a former 3D graphics software developer.

Who is behind the pseudonym Satoshi Nakamoto is still unknown. It can be either an individual developer or a group of people.

Theories about who exactly is the creator of bitcoin abound, and not all of them stand up to scrutiny. But at least that he performed the task of ensuring his own anonymity excellently, there is no doubt.
