This is probably why stories about family reunions have been popular since Shakespeare’s time. Like weddings, movies about the big day can make you laugh, cry or even tweak. “27 Dresses” (2008)
No matter how magical the wedding, some movies entertain, focusing on how painful it can be, especially for those who are lonely. The main role in the film “27 Dresses” belongs to the actress Catherine Heigla.
The main character of the film, Jane (Catherine Heigl), is a very selfless woman who has been the bridesmaid at the wedding of her 27 girlfriends and who does not have her own personal life. She has been in love with her boss for years. One day, Jane’s sister Tesa returns from Europe and falls in love with her. When Tesa gets engaged to Jane’s boss, and journalist Kevin, whom Jane met at one of her weddings, begins writing an article about Jane’s frequent role as a bridesmaid, she begins to wonder if she wants to continue to be an eternal bridesmaid.
Although the film follows the standard “formula” of romantic comedies, it is interesting due to the sympathetic composition of the actors and some funny moments. Those looking for a sweet story filled with laughter will love this movie!
“Bridesmaids” / “Bridesmaids” (2011)
While most wedding films are usually romantic comedies aimed at a female audience, the film “Brides’ Sisters” decided to let women have fun without telling a truly entertaining story.
Ennis (Kristen Viga) ‘s life is one big trouble. The Wedding Planner (2001)
The film “Wedding Organizer” seems to have been created in a laboratory using only known components of classic, early romantic comedies. Take one perfect Jennifer Lopez, add one charming Matthew McConique, stir up the wedding theme, in which the woman breaks her work and at the same time follows her heart, and mixes it all together. Shake well and serve with a bottle of wine of your choice.
This is the story of Mary, a well-known wedding planner, who is rescued from a near-fatal accident by the handsome Steve. The two of them spend the evening together, and just as Mary feels that she is beginning to believe in love again, she realizes that Steve is the groom whose wedding she is planning. This romantic comedy is full of twists and turns, as Steve and Mary struggle with each other’s feelings, knowing that Steve is engaged to another woman.
Bride Wars (2009)
Best friends tend to have a lot in common. All is well, unless you are planning a wedding with that friend at the same time and end up fighting over who gets what. Here, in “Bridal Wars,” the two best friends become enemies after the two accidentally plan their wedding on the same day.
