1 euro seats: cinemas launch an operation to support the reopening of theaters

The Center for Cinema and Audiovisual (CCA) of the Wallonia-Brussels Federation (FWB) launches this Monday the operation “J’peux pas, j’ai cinema” to support the reopening of dark cinemas this Wednesday, July 1 .

Until Monday, August 31, 15,000 cinema seats at 1 euro will be offered to the public on the jaicinema.be site. The goal is to encourage spectators to return to theaters after 15 weeks of closure and to highlight the programming of associated cinemas, explains the CCA in a press release.

Concretely, new places at 1 euro will be available every Tuesday until the end of August, depending on the programming of the 11 participating cinemas. The number of places per session at this rate is limited and the principle of “first come, first served” will therefore be applied.

The Aventure, Galeries, Kinograph, Palace and Vendôme cinemas in Brussels, Quai 10 in Charleroi, Caméo in Namur, Plaza Art in Mons, Churchill, Le Parc and Sauvenière in Liège are participating in the operation.
