During January – September 2023, 1 million 157 thousand people recovered their health in Belarusian sanatoriums, of which 161 thousand were foreign guests. “On average, the bed capacity of health and sanatorium-resort institutions can accommodate about 1.4 million people (including camps in the summer). Last year, our sanatoriums received 188 thousand foreign citizens. Over the past three years, they were visited by tourists from more than 70 countries,” the department cited data.
Revenue from the export of medical and health services in 2023 increased by 26%, amounting to 235 million rubles over 9 months. The average annual occupancy rate of organizations is now more than 80%.
