It has been confirmed that incumbent police officers and court officials are being investigated for being involved in a mask fraud sale.
They acted as sales agents with the status of public servants ahead, but it turned out that there were also gangsters involved.

Last March, when the phenomenon of’mask scarcity’ reached its peak.
Cha Mo, who was looking for a mask factory for company delivery, met with sales manager Song Mo by introducing an acquaintance.
Mr. Song suggested that he is working with his pro uncle, an incumbent police officer A, and suggested that he trust in himself to do business.
Mr. A even showed a photo of evidence saying he was a member of the arrest team for the’Latest Series of Serial Killers’.

Mr. Cha decided to buy 400,000 masks and sent 200 million won.
With the guidance of Mr. Song, I went to a mask factory in Jeonju, Jeollabuk-do and met Mr. A in person.
Mr. A, the policeman, guided the inside of the factory here, and even made a verbal promise saying,’I will send the goods here soon, I am a public official’, Cha claims.
However, delivery has been postponed.
Mr. A and others made excuses, saying, “We have to pay for the public supply first” and “The goods were seized by the KFDA crackdown.”

[A 씨 / 현직 경찰관 : 네, 네. 2억이 넘는 것으로 알고 있어요. 2억 천만 원인가?]
However, I did not receive a mask until the end of the year, and I did not receive a single penny of the principal that I had decided to get back.
Mr. Cha filed a complaint, and the Seongbuk Police Station in Seoul initiated an investigation.
The police confiscated and searched Mr. A’s account and mobile phone, and captured the situation where Mr. A took over 14 million won in bank account and 65 million won in cash, all over 100 million won.

Mr. A is also suspected of violating the National Public Officials Act, which regulates prohibition of concurrent employment such as commercial transactions.
[A 씨 / 현직 경찰관 : 그전부터 얘한테 받을 돈이 있었어. 그거 때문에 계속 (얼마를?) 크게는 아닌데. 제가 처음 조사받을 때, 나는 마스크의 ‘마’ 자도 모른다….]
Mr. Song, who introduced Mr. A, was a former gangster and had another accomplice Mr. B, who is an incumbent court official.
They earned money by working as a sales book, and it was investigated that they forged test reports while selling illegal masks.

[송 모 씨 / 마스크 판매 사기 피의자 : 알았어. 공적 물량 납품할 거 말고 뒤로 빼는 거 있잖아요. 그거를 이쪽에서 형님한테 우리가 자료 거래로….]
[B 씨 / 현직 법원 공무원 : 뺄 수 있겠지.]
In response, Mr. A and Mr. B explained that Mr. Song took all the money and that they had nothing to do with fraud.
[B 씨 / 현직 법원 공무원 : 내 영장 기록을 보면, 10원도 가지지 않은. 차 씨가 누군지도 모르고, 지네끼리 한 것도 모르고.]
The police recently arrested Mr. Song, and in the near future, it is a policy to apply for an arrest warrant for the incumbent police officer A and the court official B.
