Hyundai Motor Company’s President Jaehoon Jang apologized for the subsequent fires of Kona Electric Vehicles.
President Jang said at the’Ioniq 5’public media conference today that he once again sincerely apologizes for causing inconvenience and concern over the recent Kona EV fire issue.
In addition, he added that he has been conducting a cause investigation with a partner, a battery manufacturer, and the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, and is trying to come up with a fundamental solution as soon as possible.
He said that he expects the cause and solution to be announced sooner or later, and that he will talk about this through an official channel.
