In the interview session of the Mobile World Congress (MWC) Shanghai 2021, Strategic Product Manager Oppo Su Song said the 125W technology made by his party was the first in the industry. Because of that there are many challenges that Oppo engineers have to face.
“As you know 125W is high voltage charging. Our engineers have to make sure there are no problems when used,” said Song.
Song mentioned three challenges that Oppo engineers had to face. First about temperature, how to create a charger system that can charge quickly but does not emit excess heat.
In order to maintain its safety, Oppo collaborating with the CTTL (China Telecommunication Technology Laboratory) technology certification laboratory to test and certify each VOOC Flash Charge product. “CTTL has given Oppo a five star rating for VOOC Flash Charging,” said Song.

The three challenges were successfully passed by Oppo engineers. The proof is 125W Flash Charge is officially introduced and ready for consumer use.
“The 125W Flash Charge charger is ready for mass production,” said Song.
At the MWC event Shanghai 2021, Oppo flaunted a 125W SuperVOOC device, supporting 20V, 6.25A and 125W. It is able to fully charge a 4,000 mAh battery in just 20 minutes.

In addition, Oppo also exhibited 65W AirVooc for wireless charging of devices. It supports all Qi standard devices and promises to fully charge a 4,000 mAh cell phone in 30 minutes.
Do not miss there is a mini 50W SuperVOOC. Oppo said this is the smallest 50W charger device on the market. Has the ability to fully charge 4,000 mAh in a duration of 42 minutes.
