On Friday, October 15, 2021, at around 11:12 p.m., a traffic accident occurred in the Wredestrasse / Berliner Strasse intersection in Ludwigshafen. The 20-year-old driver of an Opel drove into the intersection, coming from Berliner Platz. There it came to a collision with a Renault. Its 39-year-old driver was driving on Berliner Straße, coming from the north. According to witness statements, she may have disregarded the red light on the traffic lights. Both drivers were injured. The older of the two was hospitalized. The vehicles suffered damage totaling EUR 5,000. Since they were no longer ready to drive, Berliner Straße had to be closed while the accident was being recorded.
