For reasons that have not yet been clarified, a fire broke out in an apartment building on Altriper Strasse in Ludwigshafen this morning, April 1, 2020, at 4:30 a.m. The fire was extinguished by the Ludwigshafen fire department. According to the current state of the investigation, the fire on a balcony on the 2nd floor is likely to have broken out. From there the fire spread to an attic apartment and the roof structure. The apartment on the 2nd floor and the attic apartment are currently not habitable. Nobody was injured by the fire. Property damage is currently estimated at EUR 100,000.
The criminal investigation is ongoing.
