On Thursday afternoon (September 16, 2021), around 4:20 p.m., a hitherto unknown driver drove his black BMW on the Brussels Ring coming from Oppauer Straße. When turning into the street Am Kanal, the driver turned right off the lane into a green strip for reasons that were not yet clear and collided with a tree on the side. According to witness statements, the inmates collected isolated vehicle parts and then continued their journey in the direction of Frankenthal. The driver has been described as around 20-25 years old with black shoulder-length hair. He wore black jeans and a black vest. The car is said to have had an FT license plate.
