On Saturday evening at 8:30 p.m., SV Werder Bremen will start the new season with a home game against Hannover 96. 14,000 home fans can watch the game in the stadium.

For the first time, the well-known traffic concept will be used again on the Osterdeich. This means that the Osterdeich will be closed to private traffic between Sielwall and Stader Straße about two and a half hours before and about an hour after the end of the game. Even if the stadium will not be fully utilized again, an increased volume of traffic on the arrival and departure to and from the Wohninvest-Weserstadion as well as traffic delays and obstructions can be expected. The Bremen police therefore recommend that spectators arriving by car use the Park + Ride traffic from the Hemelinger Hafendamm. Please do not leave any valuables behind in your vehicles. The parking spaces at the stadium are still only available to authorized persons with the appropriate parking permit.

Similar to the game against Hertha BSC last season, there will again be color-coded routes around the stadium that will lead fans to the entrance gates. The outlet is also staggered and according to the color scheme. There is a mask requirement on the entire event site and on the way to the seat; the mask can be removed from the seat. Only medical masks are allowed (e.g. surgical mask, FFP2 mask, KN95).

The public order office will also be in action with regard to the still applicable Corona regulation around the stadium.
