On the late Thursday evening, December 23rd, 2021, several emergency call participants reported Feuerschein to the integrated control center of the fire brigade and rescue service from the garden area, which connects to the B31 in the south of Breisach.
It was found on site that a total of three garden huts were burning and could no longer be rescued despite the courageous and quick intervention of the fire brigade. However, it was possible to prevent it from spreading to other garden huts in this narrow development.
Property damage in the five-digit euro range was caused to the garden huts and trees that were affected.
The cause of the fire is currently unclear. The Breisach police station (phone: 07667 9117-0) has taken over the investigation. Even if a technical cause cannot be completely ruled out, she asks witnesses who made suspicious observations in the evening to report.
