On Wednesday, April 7, 2021, around 2:15 a.m., a stable of sheep and horses on a farm in Deichstrasse in Berne, Ranzenbüttel, burned down.
When the first emergency services arrived, the stable was in full fire.
In the yard, a house is directly connected to the stable. Furthermore, there are some thatched roof houses in the vicinity.
Part of the roof collapsed during the extinguishing work.
Presumably, two firefighters were slightly injured by debris. Their treatment took place on site.
According to current knowledge, an as yet unknown number of sheep and four horses died as a result of the fire.
The stable burned down completely. Soot deposits formed on the house.
No information can currently be given on the cause of the fire, as this has not yet been clarified. The police have started the investigation.
The total damage was estimated at around 250,000 euros.
