The General Prosecutor General’s Office in Frankfurt am Main – Central Office for Combating Internet Crime (ZIT) – and the Hessian State Criminal Police Office (HLKA), as well as General Prosecutor’s Offices and Public Prosecutor’s Offices in another 11 federal states have taken criminal proceedings in the form of searches and interrogations as part of a nationwide concerted action in 12 federal states against a total of 40 suspects, who are suspected of making criminally relevant statements, primarily in various social networks, to the detriment of the Kassel government president Dr. To have done Walter Lübcke.

The investigation by the General Prosecutor’s Office in Frankfurt am Main has been carried out since mid-September 2019 together with a working group of the Hessian State Criminal Police Office.
In the past few months, numerous comments have been secured, subjected to a criminal assessment and an investigation has been carried out to determine who was responsible for the statements, which were classified as criminal.
The – Hessian – part of the investigation complex, which is headed by the General Prosecutor’s Office in Frankfurt am Main, is aimed at five men and one woman aged between 25 and 62 from different counties (Werra-Meißner district, Kassel, Gießen district, Marburg, Darmstadt, Darmstadt district) -The castle).
Against them there is suspicion of a public request to commit crimes (section 111 of the Criminal Code), the approval of crimes (section 140 of the Criminal Code) and the denigration of the memory of the deceased (section 189 of the Criminal Code).
The local Prosecutor General’s and Prosecutor’s Office is responsible for the preliminary proceedings against the other 34 accused who are resident outside of Hesse.
