Once again, within a few days, officers from the Traffic Routes Control Unit (KEV) at the Darmstadt Main Customs Office seized 10 kilograms of marijuana on Federal Motorway 3. A 29-year-old man’s rental car was checked last week. The man was on his way to Frankfurt am Main to visit a friend there briefly. Therefore, it seemed strange to the employees when they found two full suitcases during the vehicle inspection. When opening the suitcase, the officers were amazed when, instead of clothing, several parcels of marijuana came to light. The driver, who claims not to have known about the contents of the suitcase, was provisionally arrested on the spot and handed over to the Frankfurt customs investigation office for further investigations. The investigations are still ongoing.
