On the 16th, which is Saturday, a cold wave will come again. The temperature will drop sharply and drop by about 10 degrees from the previous day (15th), and there are places where snow falls on the west coast of Jeolla and Jeju.

According to the Meteorological Administration, on this day, Korea will be affected by cold continental high pressure expanding in northern China.

On this day, the lowest temperature in the morning in the country is -11 to 1 degrees, and the highest temperature in the daytime is expected to be -2 to 7 degrees. Daegwanryeong and Taebaek are forecasted to be as low as -9 degrees, and some places in the interior of Gangwon may go down to -11 degrees.

The estimated minimum morning temperature for each region is △Seoul -8 degrees △Incheon -7 degrees △Chuncheon -8 degrees △Gangneung -2 degrees △Daejeon -5 degrees △Daegu -3 degrees △Busan 1 degrees △Jeonju -3 degrees △Gwangju -2 degrees △ Jeju 4do.

The maximum temperature during the day is expected to be △Seoul -1 degrees △Incheon -2 degrees △Chuncheon 1 degrees △Gangneung 5 degrees △Daejeon 2 degrees △Daegu 4 degrees △Busan 7 degrees △Jeonju 2 degrees △Gwangju 2 degrees △Jeju 5 degrees.

The Meteorological Administration called for preparation for the cold, saying, “There are places in the central region where the maximum temperature during the day is below freezing.”

From night, it will snow on the west coast of Jeolla, and raindrops or snow will fall in Jeju. Estimated snowfall is 1~5cm in Jeju Island, excluding the Jeolla west coast and mountain areas, and 5~10cm in Jeju Island.

According to the Korea Environment Corporation and the National Institute of Environmental Sciences under the Ministry of Environment, the concentration of fine dust was predicted to be’normal’ in all areas. However, it is expected that the metropolitan area, Gangwon area, Chungcheong area, and Honam area will show a temporary’bad’ level until morning, and the Yeongnam area and Jeju area in the morning.

The waves of the sea will rise from 1.0 to 3.0 m off the west sea, 0.5 to 3.0 m off the east sea, and 0.5 to 2.5 m off the south sea. It is expected to reach a maximum height of 4.0m in the sea, such as the West Sea, the South Sea, and the East Sea.
