In June 2023, Zbigniew Bartman announced the end of his volleyball career. However, he did not part with the sport, but changed the discipline and entered the world of freak fights. He joined the Clout MMA federation and made his debut in a new role on Saturday, defeating Tomasz Hajta in the second round. “I’ve had a thousand scenarios in my head over the last few weeks, but I didn’t think I’d win by choke in any of them. In preparations for the duel, Bartman was supported by his beloved, Zuzanna Górecka. A few hours after the fight, the volleyball player turned to her partner on social media. She shared a photo of him with the trophy and made a sincere confession.

“I know how much it cost you health, not only physical, that’s why I’m happy twice, but above all, that you are safe and sound” – we read on InstaStories Górecka, who also wrote in English: “Proud of you”, i.e. “I am with proud of you.”

Bartman can count on Górecka’s great support, although he also tries to help his partner in a difficult time for her. Currently, the volleyball player is recovering from an injury to the meniscus and anterior cruciate ligament, which she suffered in May during the final of the Polish Championships. She has already undergone surgery and is undergoing rehabilitation.

– I am very proud of her because I can see how much pain and suffering this very serious injury is causing her. Every morning he gets up, wipes his tears and goes to classes and gyms to return to the field in the best shape. I have great respect for her for that – said Bartman in one of the interviews.

So far, it is not known when the former volleyball player will return to the cage. Immediately after the fight, he was asked by one of the journalists if his next opponent would be Błażej Augustyn, who had an equally spectacular debut and defeated Dominik Pudzianowski. However, Bartman stated that he needed to improve his skills to compete with the footballer.
