ZTE Axon 20 5G completely declassified – the first smartphone with a sub-screen camera

China Telecommunications Equipment Certification Authority (TENAA) has revealed the full specifications of the ZTE Axon 20 5G smartphone (model A2121), which, as expected, will be the world’s first device with a front camera hidden behind a display.

It is reported that the device is equipped with a large screen with a diagonal of 6.92 inches. A Full HD + OLED panel with a resolution of 2460 × 1080 pixels is used. The sub-screen camera has a resolution of 32 million pixels.

At the back is a quad camera with a 64MP main sensor. Also involved are an 8-megapixel unit with ultra-wide-angle optics, a 2-megapixel depth sensor and a 2-megapixel macromodule.

The smartphone is equipped with a Snapdragon 765G processor. It contains eight Kryo 475 cores clocked at up to 2.4 GHz, an Adreno 620 graphics accelerator, and an X52 5G modem. The amount of RAM is 6, 8 or 12 GB, depending on the modification.

Buyers will be able to choose between versions with a flash drive of 128 and 256 GB. Power will be provided by a rechargeable battery with a capacity of 4120 mAh.

The images show that in one of the side parts of the case there are physical control buttons. Apparently, the novelty will receive a fingerprint scanner integrated into the display area.
