Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Zoom has a new feature for users who are late for meetings. Those who join late can access meeting summaries created by artificial intelligence.

Video conferencing company Zoom is keeping up with the booming trend of artificial intelligence in the tech industry. AI technology is used to create meeting summaries or minutes in zoom meetings, quoted from BGR, Wednesday (29/3/2023).

AI features are also provided in the form of whiteboards to chat and email compositions. For whiteboards, Zoom IQ will summarize them in Zoom Team Chat and suggest actions to be taken.

Zoom IQ will also help summarize meetings when users are out of meetings for a while. AI can help find the right words by crafting a response for the user.

Smita Hashim, Zoom’s Chief Product Officer, explained that the new features have been adapted to users. It is expected to make the performance better in the future.

“With the flexibility of combining a number of models, our goal is to provide the best value for various needs of customers. This model is also customizable, so it can be adapted to specific company vocabulary and scenarios for better performance,” he explained.

This new feature will only roll out to some users who get an invite starting in April.

Zoom is collaborating with OpenAI to deliver a number of these AI features. The company behind ChatGPT was previously known to be working with Microsoft to launch a number of features presented in Microsoft 365.
