Zoom is preparing for a series of novelties. A surprising newcomer among innovations is Zoom Spots: a flexible virtual workspace.
The Zoom video platform is also being retouched. The pace of innovation remains high to keep up with competitors Slack and Teams. “More than 1,500 new features have been added to the platform in the past year,” said Joseph Chong, Zoom’s Head of Product, Solutions and Industry Marketing.
Her colleague Theresa Larkin announces several news on Zoomtopia. The most notable announcement is Zoom Spots. This is a new part of the Zoom platform where colleagues can already collaborate via video call.
With the ability to be a member of multiple Spots, the platform creates a flexible online workspace. “In the office, you also have the option of changing desks every day,” says the reasoning. One spot supports 1,000 attendees and the feature will be available in spring 2023.
Integration with Zoom Team Chat
There are also Zoom Team Chat integrations. The chat platform got it love again in September of Zoom and the communication platform now underlines this further. Zoom Team Chat now merges video chat chat with ongoing conversations. Also, Zoom Phone and Zoom Team Chat join forces.

For video meetings there will be smart recordings that divide the long meetings themselves into essential parts and templates for meeting settings. You can color a message with new avatars, where the faces of animals it can be integrated with human figures, but you can also choose to personalize a chat message with a video message.
Optimizations
Finally, there will be features that enhance the video meeting experience, in both Zoom Spaces and Zoom Events. Zoom Spaces integrates with Zoom Rooms to provide translations and blackboard at meetings and an intelligent director chooses which camera best captures a speaker. The hardware also gives users a personalized overview of the days when they can best come to the office. Zoom Events in turn, it receives help in determining the ideal bandwidth for hosting online events at attendees’ homes.

The new features have not yet received an official launch date. Larkin indicates that the improvements will not be available in all countries at the same time, most likely the United States will have an advantage.
