Zlín announced the significant transaction on Tuesday through its website. Winger Jesse Paukku, who has been stable in the Finnish league for many years, will join the Rams.
“I think he is a quality striker, a classic winger, a very good skater who is especially at a great level with speed,” reports Zlín head coach Miloš Říha.

The native of the city of Joensuu has the potential to become one of the most prominent figures in the Chance League. By the standards of the competition, this is an above-standard purchase – it’s no wonder that the Rams expect a lot from the 29-year-old Finn.
“He went through youth national teams, played 279 matches in the highest Finnish competition, which characterizes him in itself,” adds Říha.
Paukku spent a significant part of his career with the Vaasan Sport team, where he twice reached the twenty-point mark in the last season. Individual best year? During the 2020/21 season, he recorded a record of 10+18 in the regular season.
Since then, his offensive contribution has declined, he intends to remember the old days in Zlín. His adaptation will be facilitated by compatriot Atte Huhtela, the first ever Finnish player in the club’s history.

Until now, Paukku has been exclusively boarded by the house, he steadily broke through among the local elite six years ago. In his youth years, he previously represented regularly: on the international scene, he collected starts from the age of 16 to the age of 20.
