Zenvo’s Aurora: An Extreme Hypersport Car with Unbelievable Performance

The Danish manufacturer Zenvo is not one of the big players in the field of hypersports, but it made a name for itself in the memory of all fans of fast bikes with the TSR-S model, a 1200-horsepower monster with an active wing that constantly danced while driving – because it tilted under braking and in every corner to improve downforce . It’s hard to say how functional this solution was, but it was certainly fascinating!

Their latest release, with the name Aurora inspired by the amazing aurora borealis, is also a stunning affair. Without exaggeration, we can say that it is one of the most extreme cars ever, and it shocks us that something like this can still be created today.

And in two variants! While the Aurora Tur is intended for long-distance road travel, the Aurora Agil wants to dust all the competition on the racetrack. At the same time, both machines have an amazing twelve-cylinder engine in their guts.

The engine room is housed in a brand new and custom-made chassis, while the bodywork makes extensive use of carbon fiber. Aurora Tur mines 1,850 horsepower and 1,700 newton meters of torque from a combination of a 6.6-liter V12 and electric motors.

The car reaches 100 km/h in 2.3 seconds, 300 km/h in nine seconds and crosses the 400 km/h mark in seventeen seconds. Even though it is a “road” car, it can drive at a maximum speed of up to 450 km/h!

Yes, you are looking into the cabin of a car designed to cruise Europe. Will you sit down?

The parameters of the track-oriented hypersport are surprisingly a bit more modest. System power reaches 1,450 horsepower and a torque of 1,400 newton meters, the maximum speed is 365 km/h, and acceleration from 0-100 km/h takes two tenths of a second longer. The strength of this design is mainly in the sophisticated aerodynamics. At a speed of 250 km/h, the car generates a downforce of 880 kg, which is helped by several body modifications and a robust rear downforce wing.

Despite the electrification, the sharp version weighs only 1,300 kilograms, the Tur is one hundred and fifty kilograms heavier. Whatever you choose, you always get the same carbon monocoque (70% uncovered), which weighs just 120 kg, is modular and, according to the creators, offers safety at the level of F1 single-seaters.

“We can define the Aurora project as a balance of extremes. We were clear during development that we didn’t want to chase specific numbers or lap times, as that would distract us unnecessarily. We wanted Aurora to be the absolute pinnacle of what can be achieved in every aspect. We wanted to build a driver’s car without compromises that would perform at all levels,” said Jens Sverdrup, head of the Danish brand.

Aurora’s price remains a secret, but we assume that it will be (as well as its parameters) from another world. Deliveries of both hand-made models will start in two years.
