TRIBUNNEWS.COM, KYIEV – One-fifth of the territory Ukraine be under control Russiasaid the President Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky while speaking with Luxembourg MPs on Thursday (2/6/2022).

Zelensky also said fighting was continuing along the frontline that stretched for more than a thousand kilometers along the Kharkiv region to Mykolaiv in the south of the country.

He added that the Donbas region was completely destroyed, and called it one of the most powerful industrial centers in Europe.
Furthermore, Zelensky claimed that more than 30,000 soldiers Russia have been killed since the war began more than three months ago.
“That’s bigger than the Soviet Union’s death toll in 10 years of war in Afghanistan, bigger than the death toll Russia in the two Chechen wars,” according to Zelensky.
In his remarks to lawmakers, Zelensky urged additional sanctions against Russiaasking for more weapons to support the struggle Ukraine on the front line.
He also invited Luxembourg Prime Minister Xavier Bettel to visit Kyiv and asked deputies to support Ukraine’s ambitions to join the European Union.
