Zelensky Claims Russia Has Lost 180,000 Troops in Ukrainian War, Says Official Figures Not Released

Zelensky said at the press conference that according to Ukrainian estimates, Russia has lost about 180,000 casualties and its total irreversible losses are close to half a million.

“31,000 Ukrainian military personnel have been killed in this war. Not 300,000, not 150,000, not anything else that Putin and his lying circles are lying about. However, each of these losses is a big sacrifice for us,” Zelenskiy said.

Ukraine has so far not released official figures on its losses. Russia has not done this either.

Three days ago, in an interview with the US TV channel “Fox News”, Zelensky said that the ratio of losses between Ukraine and Russia is one to five.

“For one of our soldiers who died in battle, there are five Russian soldiers,” said the Ukrainian president.
