Ukraine must return the captured Russia territory over the next 3-6 weeks. Otherwise, it will become much more difficult.
This was stated by the head of the Armed Forces Committee of the US House of Representatives, Adam Smith, who met with President Volodymyr Zelensky, reports Politico.
According to him, Ukrainian officials want to reach a peace agreement with the Russians, but first the occupied territories must be recaptured.
“The next three to six weeks are crucial,” Smith said.
He noted that he heard about this from Zelensky and other high-ranking officials.
Smith added that this period is important, as winters with colder temperatures and harsher conditions will slow the fighting down to a brutal war of attrition.
Recall that earlier a military expert said that Ukraine faces another war with Russiawhich “will kill Moscow imperialism.”
