Preacher Yusuf Mansur | stated that they are ready to face a lawsuit of Rp. 785 million from 12 people related to the case default at the Tangerang District Court.
“We’ll just deal with it as best we can. I pray that I can continue to fix what are still shortcomings and mistakes,” Yusuf said in his official statement, Sunday (12/19).
Yusuf emphasized that he would not reduce his intentions and steps to advance the economy of the community and the people. For him, joint ventures and saving land are real movements that can produce results for the people.
“The people have the first sharia management assets in 2018. They are ready to fly out of this pandemic,” he said.
However, Yusuf left it entirely to the court’s decision regarding the lawsuit.
He told that last year there was a lawsuit against him whose narrative was not much different from the current lawsuit. However, at that time the court rejected the claim.
“Last year, his and their lawsuits were rejected by the court. And, the honorable panel of judges rejected it without any intervention from me, let alone from the authorities,” said Yusuf.
At least 12 people sued Yusuf Mansur for Rp. 785 million related to the alleged default case. This lawsuit was registered under number 1340 /Pdt.G/2021/PN.Tng on December 10, 2021.
In the petition, there are eight points of lawsuit against Yusuf and several other parties. One of them legally stated that the defendants had broken their promises (wanprestasi).
The next point of lawsuit states that the joint venture certificate for the hajj and umrah hotel and apartment businesses signed by Defendant II (Yusuf) is valid and valuable and binding on the parties.
Then, the plaintiffs asked to punish the defendants to be jointly and severally responsible, in cash, and immediately pay for the material losses suffered. Namely, a number of investment funds in the form of joint ventures for hajj and umrah hotels and apartments that the plaintiff had given to Defendant II (Yusuf) amounting to Rp. 174 million and the profit sharing promised by Defendant II (Yusuf) of Rp. 111.36 million, bringing a total of Rp. million).
