NIS America announcement Yurukill: The Calumniation Games, a unique work combining adventure and investigation, which will be released in physical version in a deluxe edition on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 in spring 2022.
Homura Kawamoto, the author known for his work Gambling School, returns with a multifaceted and twisty story with Yurukill. Accused of having caused an arson that caused the death of 21 people, the protagonist, Sengoku Shunju, is forced to prove his innocence and fight for his freedom. As one of the six “Prisoners”, he must team up with one of the five victims, called the “Executioners”, within a strange isolated amusement park: Yurukill Land.
It is together that each of the five teams: “Mass Murderers”, “Death Dealing Duo”, “Crafty Killers”, “Sly Stalkers” and “Peeping Toms”, will face and overcome the so called “attractions” of the park in order to ‘get what they want. If the “Prisoners” succeed in triumphing over these trials, they will be forgiven for their crimes, but if the “Executioners” win, they will obtain revenge for their loved ones.
This deep story offers a unique gameplay experience by asking players to collect evidence, collect testimonials, and solve puzzles. The game also features Shoot ’em up phases, developed by industry veteran studio G.rev, which offers frenetic and action-packed combat.
