YouTube is going to hide the number of dislikes on videos – IT Pro – News

I notice on my own channel that dislikes are mainly used by envious people (jealousy, or after a disagreement because I had a stolen video removed).

For example, I have that many of the ratings on my videos are artificially kept down, regardless of how many likes, there are suddenly so many dislikes in one fell swoop that you always end up with a rating of 80% (like/dislike), and almost all dislikes come from Vietnam, India, and Indonesia, because it is not coincidentally also the countries that sell dislikes.

You can find out all kinds of things with the analytics, and so almost all dislikes come from Vietnam (worst like/dislike rating, of only 57%). With my usual audience I’m often just on the 95 to 100% like / dislike rating.

And so there are also some articles about dislike bots being used to discredit your content.

So I’m curious if others can no longer see the ratings, or will those dislike bots stop as well (or worse still, because they can no longer see what the ratings are).
