Two underage boys boasted that they had taken a minor girl to a wooden house in Sofia. The case is from 2017. The prosecutor’s office is investigating the case.
In 2017, 16-year-old MA and 12-year-old SO had a relationship. The accused knew the girl’s age, but still had sexual intentions towards her, which she rejected. S. O.’s mother did not approve of her daughter’s relationship, as a result of which the relationship between the two deteriorated.
The mother even had to seek help from the Child Protection Department, which provided social services to improve their relationship, and SO was placed in a crisis center at the end of July 2017.
On an unspecified date around the middle of June 2017 after 21:00 in Sofia, g. k. “Fondovi Zhilishta”, the accused MA together with S. Ts., Then 13 years old (juvenile and criminally irresponsible) and the victim S.O. went to a wooden house built with the means at hand.
There, MA and S.C. successively committed sexual intercourse and lewd acts with S. O. The victim told them to stop and tried to resist, but they did not pay attention to her words and managed to break her resistance. After the incident, the two boys left the house, leaving the girl alone. Feeling afraid and ashamed to go home, S. O. spent the night at the entrance of the block where she lived.

The two defendants bragged about what had happened, people started talking in the neighborhood and a lot of people learned. This is how S.O.’s mother learned and on 03.08.2017 she submitted a signal to 02 RU-SDVR and an investigation was started immediately.
According to the prosecutor’s office, the described factual situation is supported by the evidence from the interrogations of witnesses, forensic medical examinations, complex forensic psychiatric and psychological examinations, as well as complex forensic psychiatric psychological and sexological examinations and other evidence.
A comprehensive forensic psychiatric and psychological examination of the accused in the case established that, despite his minor age, he understood what he was doing and was able to direct his actions.
When questioned as a defendant, MA exercised his right not to give explanations in the case. MA was not convicted.
The Sofia City Court is about to schedule a preliminary hearing on the case.
