The four students and six other members of the community of the Professional Artistic School of Alto Minho (ARTEAM) who contacted directly with the music teacher infected by Covid-19 (coronavirus) will stay in the quarantine for 14 days.
The information was provided by the school principal, Carla Barbosa, in statements The Radio Alto Minho, following a contact from the coordinator of the Alto Minho Local Health Unit (ULSAM), who was at the school in question.
The remaining students, assistants and teachers, who had no direct contact, were advised to be aware of possible symptoms, such as high fever, cough or constipation.

The principal of the school, who is in social isolation on her own initiative, assured that the parents of the students have already been informed, lacking only the guardians of the Music Academy of Viana do Castelo, which works in the same place.
Altogether, between ARTEAM and Academia, there are around 550 students in total, but only four will have had contact with the 44-year-old teacher.
In a note sent to newsrooms, DGS confirmed that this was the fifth positive case for Covid-19 disease, which causes respiratory infections such as pneumonia, and that the man is at the Centro Hospitalar Universitário de São João.
“The clinical situation is stable”, he adds.
In addition to this man, two other cases were reported with positive results for the new coronavirus in Porto, one in Coimbra and another in Lisbon.
In the bulletin released on Tuesday at the end of the day, the DGS indicated the existence of 101 notifications of suspicious cases.
There are more than 92,000 confirmed cases in the world, with more than 3,000 deaths. Of the infected people, about 48,000 recovered, according to health officials in several countries.
The World Health Organization has already declared the Covid-19 outbreak to be a “very high” international public health emergency.
