While working on the cult series, a lot of problems arose.
In 1985, the TV series Moonlight Detective Agency was released. The relationship between the heroes of Bruce Willis and Cybill Shepard and the plots of the series was so popular with the audience that the project received record ratings. The creators were not ready for such popularity, as well as the fact that they would have to rush to work on the next seasons.
New episodes were continually delayed due to production issues. The release schedule of the episodes was disrupted, and this took on an anecdotal character: in popular advertising, this matter was even joked about. And in one of the third season episodes, the showrunners used a newsreel that honestly tells about the behind-the-scenes issues.
The plot of the episodes was often rewritten, and screenwriter Glenn Gordon Caron did not have time to make any changes. The next series began filming when its final was still unknown. In order for the group to have something to do, they took distracted pictures. Therefore, in many episodes, Maddie’s legs appear prominently when she walks from the elevator to the office and vice versa. While the workers worked on these scenes, Caron was finishing the script.
