The live broadcast of the concert will be available for free on the social network of VSIA “Latvijas koncerti” Facebook page.
According to the organizers of the concert, the winner of the Baltic Young Composers Big Band composition competition organized jointly by the Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music and the Latvian Radio Big Band will also be announced during the concert.
The concert will feature original works by the new generation of Baltic composers, internationally acclaimed Jievaras Jasinskis (Lithuania), Raul Sööt (Estonia), as well as the music director of the Latvian Radio Big Band Kārlis Vanags. The concert will be closed by the works of Jānis Rubikas (Latvia), Kristina Bianca Rantala (Estonia) and Reina Ašmanis (Latvia), the finalists of the Baltic Young Composers Big Band Composition Competition, which will also be judged remotely by the members of the competition jury.
Latvian Radio big bands is pleased that in this turbulent time and unusual situation, however, found an opportunity to make this concert sound safe, as well as allow it to enjoy as wide a range of listeners as possible.
