Health Insurance
The problems related to health insurance and its premiums are a real headache for our decision-makers, who give the impression of going in circles. In order to break this vicious circle which blocks any government decision, we must imagine a “bomb” which has the force of a peaceful revolution: offering all children up to the age of 3 or 6 free basic health insurance..
This would represent a real social and human revolution, unique in the world, in favor of children. It would fundamentally change the negative relationship citizens have with their government. It would constitute for the younger generations a new “collective unconscious” which would not be without influencing, in adulthood, a more positive attitude than currently, in the commitments of solidarity, benevolence and generosity in the framework of commitment in the health, social, education or military professions. It could probably create a new attitude among young people regarding their health problems by developing adequate education at the same time.
The idea would also free up a majority of families who are struggling to pay their children’s premiums and save money. Such a decision would certainly lead to a revaluation of the family.
That would offer a new, united and generous society the guarantee of having young generations who will have all benefited from optimum physical and dental care without feeling guilty towards parents with limited financial means.
That would finally constitute awareness in favor of childhood which could have repercussions on other countries by creating a right to health.

Sickness premiums
Every year, increases in health premiums weigh heavily on our heads, so much so that it clutters our minds, this should not be the case every year.
How can we balance budgets, especially for low-income families and people, so that they can live decently? Each of us has the right to have a dignified life without deprivation of our basic needs. How come we got to this point? Quite simply, through very opaque management of the monetary contributions of policyholders.
Why do we not know how the contribution money is placed in the hands of the health funds? Unbridled competition between health insurance companies causes policyholders to switch funds; these changes result in costs estimated between 800 francs and 1000 francs per insured person. How come the reserves do not follow policyholders who change health insurance?
During the campaign aimed at a single, public health fund, a majority of respondents were largely in favor of it and, over time, these favorable opinions eroded so much so that, during the vote, the principle of a single, public health fund public was refused. This is the result of extensive propaganda orchestrated by health insurance companies, but with what money?
Citizens have been living in a financial slump for a long time. This is, among other things, the result of excessively high health premiums. Should we expand the use of social assistance to pay health premiums? Well no!
Soon, health premiums will have to be capped at 10% of income. It will also be necessary for a single public insurance to become a reality, which will reduce the number of decision-makers and simplify the management of the system.

Accommodation
Thanks to the OFL (Federal Housing Office) for its Christmas gift! Thanks to this office, letters recommended for rent increases will rain in and end up under the tree.
The OFL sets the reference rate for rents, it increased it by 0.25% in June and by 0.25% in December, it is currently 1.75%. The OFL instructs the SNB to collect information on banks’ mortgage debts. On this basis, an average interest is calculated, it becomes the reference interest rate. Let us therefore thank our banks in passing, because they are the ones who are putting the upward pressure.
But did you know that this new reference rate gives your landlord the right to increase your rent by 3 to 6%? Knowing that more than 60% of the population in Switzerland is a tenant, we can no longer count the households who will have to pay and many of whom will be in difficulty.
Think about the rise in health insurance, the unacceptable margins of food distributors, electricity producers, pharmaceutical companies, banks. These increases and excesses further increase inequalities between the well-off and the poor. Where is the solidarity? Faced with the impoverishment of a large part of the population, the passivity of our elected officials is appalling and unacceptable. However, for the banks and the airlines, the money had flowed freely!
At the end of 2023, it would have been fashionable to postpone or not apply this latest increase, but as Paul Valéry said: “All politics tends to treat men like things.”

Finances
In his discussion paper supporting a tax increase in Nyon on November 17, 2023, the president of the local Socialist Party demonstrates blindness and complete denial of the financial reality of the city. What’s more, she remains a prisoner.
The president of the PS thus appears to ignore the obvious financial problems of left-wing municipal management in Nyon. This approach ignores the considerable financial waste caused by a lack of management of the priorities of certain projects, numerous studies thrown away (which amount to millions of francs) in the trash and without forgetting the frantic requests without any vision of the consequences that this entails. in managing the City’s unprecedented human resource needs.
Nyon is currently the third most indebted city in the canton with debts forecast for 2023 at 314 million francs. Another alarming observation is that Nyon is the second city (just after Lausanne) to hold the record for the highest per capita expenditure (11,000 francs).
And yet, Nyon, apart from Pully, is the city in which tax brings in the most per capita, which should allow it to meet its costs.
Since 2006, despite an influx of personal tax revenues of more than 81%, which is an increase two and a half times greater than population growth (33%), the left-wing Municipality has exploded the debts per capita of 73%; if the debt was 7498 fr. in 2006, it is 12,977 francs in 2022. per inhabitant.
This is therefore not the avoidance of spending and tax increases that the people of Nyon want, but rather more serious and rigorous management. This will not prevent achievements, but it will prevent waste.
