Special real estate measures far exceeding expected levels.

The housing supply plan announced by President Moon Jae-in is finally announced.

It is expected that the government’s largest volume of supply is 850,000 households, including 320,000 households in Seoul, Busan and Daegu.

As previously announced, high-density development is being actively promoted in the metropolitan area, semi-industrial areas, and low-rise residential areas.

It is a plan to significantly increase quality and affordable housing by promoting the development of public-led housing complexes such as LH and SH in the declining old city.

“We will continue to curb real estate speculation. We will protect end users more strongly. We will dramatically increase and supply good housing in metropolitan areas such as Seoul.”

In order to increase the effect of housing supply, measures to ease urban regulations such as sunlight and parking lots, and to increase the floor area ratio will also be included.

In particular, in order to speed up the redevelopment and reconstruction projects, it is reported that final coordination is under way to amend the relevant laws to ease the current requirement for resident consent, which is more than three-quarters, to two-thirds.

In addition, the government is also finalizing a plan to improve the use of donations, mainly used as public leases, so that landlords can actively participate in home improvement projects.
