Yokerit refused to continue participating in the KHL playoffs and withdrew from the championship due to the situation with the coronavirus, reports the Championship.
A series of the second round of the Gagarin SKA Cup – “Jokerit” was supposed to begin on March 17 in St. Petersburg.
Earlier, the Finnish authorities introduced a ban on mass events of over 500 people.
“Jokerit” initially announced that it would hold matches without spectators.
The number of patients with coronavirus in Finland, according to recent data, has reached 155 people.
