This week, in Paris, the star-studded ATP Masters will be decided. Fit Swedish star Mikael Ymer qualified for a place in the tournament.
On Monday he got off to a flying start in the French capital. Ymer, ranked 74, eliminated Alexander Bublik in 36th place 6–1, 6–7, 6–4.
The match gave emotions. In the second set, Ymer ended up in two confrontations with referee Nacho Forcadell.
– Now you can stop. I will not stop the game, the referee told Ymer that he was disturbed by the hustle and bustle in the stands.
He continued to argue
On the sidelines, they continued to argue. Then Ymer was annoyed that he was excluded for a foot fault in the service. He stood up and showed his frustration.
– Have you ever seen such a service? Ymer said, putting on one of his minions.
Sweden’s number one has now moved on to the next round. Where the difficult opposition awaits the hot candidate dancer Felix Auger-Aliassime, ranked eighth in the world.
