One new case of Covid-19 infection was detected in Latvia last day, according to the information gathered by the Center for Disease Prevention and Control.
1042 Covid-19 tests were performed on the last day, one of which was positive. So far, a total of 147,916 tests for Covid-19 have been performed in Latvia and 1,116 people have been found infected.
Meanwhile, 932 people or 84% of the detected infected people recovered from Covid-19.
In turn, 30 Covid-19 patients died or 2.7% of the detected infections. Thus, 154 cases of Covid-19 are currently active in Latvia.
Data from the National Health Service show that no new patients with Covid-19 have been hospitalized in the last 24 hours. A total of seven patients are treated in hospitals, six of whom have a moderate course of the disease, but one patient has a serious illness. A total of 178 patients were discharged from hospital, including both those who had recovered and those who had died.
