On Sunday cloud cover will be significant. The onset of rain during the day they will also cover the far southeastern regions, the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology announced.
In 12 regions of the country, a yellow code with a warning of heavy rainfall has been announced for Sunday.
These are Dobrich, Silistra, Razgrad, Shumen, Varna, Targovishte, Stara Zagora, Burgas, Sliven, Yambol, Haskovo and Kardjali.
Larger quantities will there are places in Eastern Bulgaria. After noon, cold air will begin to move in with the wind. Atmospheric pressure will rise and be significantly higher than the average for the month.
In the evening and during the night against Monday, with the continuing cold, the rain in the central and the eastern part of the Danube plain and the mountain areas will turn into snow, there will be a thin snow cover and there will be conditions for blizzards and winds. Rainfall will stop from the northwest. Temperatures will have a small diurnal variation – from 3°-4° in the northwest to around 20° in the southeast, where a strong southwest wind will continue to blow before noon. For Sofia, the minimum temperature will be around 5°, the maximum – around 7°.

Above The Black Sea it will be mostly cloudy and after noon it will rain, which will mix with snow in separate places on the night of Monday. A moderate and temporarily strong southwesterly wind will blow, which along the Northern Black Sea coast will be oriented from the west-northwest before noon. Maximum temperatures: 14°-20°. The temperature of the sea water is about 10°. The excitement of the sea will be 2-3 points.
Above the mountains it will be cloudy with precipitation mainly from snow, below 1800 meters from rain, but even there by the end of the day the rain will change to snow. The wind will be oriented from the west-northwest and will be moderate. Cold air will come with it and after lunch the daytime temperatures will drop significantly. The maximum temperature at an altitude of 1200 meters will be about 7°, at 2000 meters – about 4°.
On Monday before noon still it will rain in South-Eastern Bulgaria, mainly rain, in Strandzha, Sakar and Eastern Stara Planina – snow. From the northwest, the cloud will continue to break, temporarily and decrease. The wind will weaken, after noon in Western Bulgaria it will subside; in Eastern Bulgaria it will be oriented from the northeast. The minimum temperatures will be between minus 3° and 2°, the maximum – between 0° and 5°, in the extreme southwestern regions – up to 8°-9°. On Tuesday, there will be almost no precipitation, but in most parts of the country there will be low clouds, in the lowlands it will be foggy. Minimum temperatures will be negative – up to minus 4°, minus 5°, daytime temperatures will rise by 1-2 degrees. The wind will change to east-southeast.
